Store Ready

At Canela Bakery Industry, our store ready American Custard Pies are available freshly oven baked and in a variety of flavors.

The recipe consisting of only the highest quality ingredients was invented by Canela Bakery Industry and exists nowhere else in the world.

Each pie consists of 3-in-1; 1 part “cookie or crust”, 1 part filling, and 1 part topping. They are baked in our 3-inch mold and packed in sets of 4. Each flavor is packaged in a set of 4 and then packed 12 to a box.

A pie can be eaten as an individual serving or cut to be shared. Ready to be eaten at room temperature or gently warmed in an oven. We recommend against heating our pies in the microwave. After removal of the aluminum foil cups, our pies have a shelf life of 12 days at room temperature, or 25 days in refrigerated conditions.

Canela Bakery Industry pies are currently available at Seabra’s Supermarkets and select ShopRite locations in New Jersey and New York. Please contact us for exact locations.

Frozen

At Canela Bakery Industry, our fresh frozen American Custard Pies are available to bake right out of the freezer in a variety of flavors.

In-store Fresh Bake

At Canela Bakery Industry, our American Custard Pie recipe is available to be freshly baked at your store!
The cream base used for our pies can be used for any of our available natural flavors, filling for pastries, or for chocolate pie. The cream base for our Sweet Coconut, Orange, New Jersey Cheesecake, Almond, and Pecan pies are pre-mixed and sold as such. Simply add fresh almonds or pecans atop the pie before cooking.

Cooking instructions:

  1. Defrost cream base for 24-36 hours before use in the refrigerator. Do not re-freeze cream and do not use after 8-10 days of being refrigerated
  2. Set up frozen pie cups and fill no more than 70% of the cup with your desired flavored filling
  3. Mix cream base well with a hand mixer separately and using a funnel, carefully top off each cup using your finger to guide the cream to ensure none goes over the cup edge (this will burn if so)
  4. Cook at 470° F for 8-10 minutes. If using a fixed oven, rotate pies midway—if using a rack oven, this is not necessary

Cooking temperature for Sweet Coconut, Almond, Orange, Pecan, and Pumpkin pies is 375° F for 12-15 minutes.
