Additional Information
Our pies are transported via freezer trucks with temperatures at least 16° below zero. Given the potential of long distance travel, it is imperative that the pies are not defrosted and then frozen again. When preparing to defrost, remove only the necessary quantities for distribution or store placement. Our pies have a shelf life of 12 days at room temperature, or 25 days in refrigerated conditions. The New Jersey Cheesecake pie is the only cheesecake that can be kept at room temperature for long periods of time thanks to the special Italian dried cheeses in its recipe.
Additionally, Canela Baking Industry pies can also be made with fresh fruit on top, similar to California fruit tarts. Please note this is NOT supplied by Canela, simply an additional recommended option for you the distributor.
